We have called on the House Doctors a few times now for odd jobs around the house that were a little bigger than we could handle, such as fixing the garbage disposal, anchoring cabinets to the wall, hanging the TV, etc. They are always punctual and polite, they do free estimates, and they have excellent old-fashioned customer service. For instance, you can order parts through them, or they'll send you a link of what to order so you can order it yourself and save money.

We're super happy with their work on both projects—from start to finish they ask the right questions, come up with ideas and suggestions, and have a can-do attitude about solving issues, whereas other contractors sort of shrugged or told me we couldn't do things the way I wanted them. We called on House Doctors Handyman of McLean to provide us with an estimate for removing a completely stripped screw from a shower curtain rod that we were unable to remove without fear of damaging the underlying tile. They repaired miscellaneous broken stuff: replaced closers on a storm door; patched a large hole in a drywall panel; installed a new light in the laundry room; installed a shower head and grab bars in two bathrooms; put up a new air return grill; rehung accordion-style closet doors with new pins. I got three bids for the work, and House Doctor’s proposal stood out, both for clarity and for the price. From owner Rich’s first visit to the completion of the job, everything went very smoothly. His job proposal, broken out by individual jobs, was clear in all respects. He was very helpful in identifying materials which I could get on my own.
